nqsf student games, all comers, and qld masters championships

School students from across Australia are invited to compete for their school or education institute at this years ANQ Student Games/All Comers Championships. This annual Track and Field meet will showcase 400 students from primary, secondary, tertiary and university institutions  competing at the Townsville Sports Reserve. 


ANQ is proud to have The North Queensland Sports Foundation (NQSF) on board as the major sponsor for this event. The NQSF has strived to develop sport in this large region of Queensland since it’s initiation in 1983. ANQ thanks this great organisation for their ongoing support to the Athletics community.

In 2018 we will welcome athletes from the U20 Australian squad who are preparing to travel to Tampere, Finland in July for the 2018  IAAF U20 World Championships.

Age medallions are awarded in all age groups from 10yrs to U18 Men and Women

Primary School boy and girls, Secondary School boys and girls. (Athletics North Queensland welcomes athletes from schools in the region to compete at this event) Athletes are not required to be registered with a club.

Trophies awarded for :

  • Sprints : Frank Knight Memorial Trophy
  • Throws: John Gaviglio Memorial Trophy
  • Jumps: Tim Parravicini
  • Middle Distance : Charlie Doyle Memorial Trophies for Men and Women.
ELIGIBility and qualifications

NQSF Student Games 

Any athlete that is a student of a school or education institute (i.e. TAFE or University) that is studying either full time or part time, is eligible to compete in the Student Games. THERE IS NO ENTRY STANDARD FOR THIS EVENT. 


ANQ All Comers Championships 

Any athlete that is a member of clubs associated to Athletics North Queensland (ANQ), Queensland Athletics (QA), Queensland Master Athletics (QMA), Australian Master Athletics (AMA), Athletics Australia (AA), or from another country's athletics club (IAAF) can nominate to compete. THERE IS NO ENTRY STANDARDS FOR THIS EVENT. Independent athletes are accepted for this event, however a $20 Day Registration fee is required. Combined events will be offered at these championships


Queensland Masters Combined Events Championships 

Queensland Master Athletics Combined Events Championships (QMA) will be held in conjunction with the ANQ Student Games and All Comers Championships in 2018. Medals and placings will be awarded for those athletes that have registered to compete in these QMA Championships. Any athlete who is a member of QMA is eligible to nominate to compete.
