Athletics North Queensland (ANQ) is run by a Managment Board made up of people from it's affiliated clubs along with a dedicated team of staff and many many volunteers.  Details can be found on the Administartion Link.

Athletics North Queensland (ANQ) commenced in 1996 and is the fastest growing, most progressive Athletics organisation in Australia, with over 2400 registerd members in 2009 up from 2,200 registered members in 2008.

We are a not for profit organisation and support clubs all over North, Central and Western Queensland from Rockhampton in the south to Longreach and Mt. Isa in the west and Cairns in the north, including Townsville.  Click here for the Affiliated Clubs page.  We are closley allined with Queensland Athletics and Athletics Australia.

In 2009 ANQ provided opportunities for athletes from 4 years of age to masters, officials and volunteers, to be involved in the sport of Athletics.

In 2010 ANQ will host regional athletics carnivals in Bowen, Townsville, Cairns, Rockhampton, Longreach, Emerald and Clermont, as well as the following major Championships; Suncorp North Queensland Games, ANQ Student Games / All Comers, Oceania Masters and the ANQ Track and Field Championships.
