Leslye Muller

I am member of the Australian Track and Field Coaches Association.  Starting as a Level 1 coach, I became a nationally accredited Level 2 Coach for jumps in 1996 and in 2001 gained Level 2 in Sprints, hurdles and relays.  2006 saw my accreditation reach Level 4 in Jumps and Sprint, Hurdles and Relays.  I have sixteen years coaching experience.

I am a professional coach.  I treat my athletes in a professional manner giving attention to detail in all aspects of their well being.

Athletes I coach have reached national level in all jumps, sprints, hurdles, shot put and javelin.  Athletes have reach state level in all events and some have represented Australia at International level excelling in their events and reaching World Junior level.  In 2004 I was privileged to be part of the Australian Oceania team as the Jumps coach.  I have been engaged to coach at Aus-squads and coaching clinics north to Cairns, south to Rockhampton and west to Longreach.

During my coaching career I have been fortunate to work many very talented athletes enhancing my knowledge. I have gained greater insight from working with:  Tom Tellez, Carl Lewis’s coach; under the Rural Mentor program, Australia’s high performance hurdle coach, Roy Boyd and Cliff Mallet a high performance sprints coach.   I acquired coaching experience traveling overseas supporting the 1998 Australian World Junior team and regularly attend ATFCA Coaching Congress and Seminars to keep abreast of the latest developments.  In 2007 I attended US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Convention in Phoenix Arizona.  I was appointed athletic coach for the sports academy for catholic colleges in 2008 at Columba Catholic College.

I have successfully completed a Certificate IV of Remedial Therapies, and Level 1 in Kinesiology I regularly attend advanced musculoskeletal training under Dr Paul Connelly, this knowledge enhances my coaching ability.  I am registered with Commission for Children and Young People and carry a Blue Suitability Card.

I live in Charters Towers and I presently have 14 athletes in my private training squad, ( I charge a term fee), I am employed to coach at Columba Catholic College, coaching the cross country during term 1 and 2, and athletic during term 1,2 and 3.
