Athletics North Queensland frequently conducts competitions at Townsville Sports Reserve and Cairns Barlow Park, which both have specific rules defined by the respective managements of the venues.

Townsville Sports Reserve (pictured below)

No Smoking in competition arena. Maximum spike lengths: 9mm for High Jump and Javelin, 7mm for all other events.

IAAF Rules

The governing body of Athletics reviews and alters rules regularly. IAAF rule books are available for purchase from the ANQ office. JUST RELEASED - NEW RULEBOOK! Available to purchase through ANQ or your Club. IAAF rules are published on IAAF website.
