The Oceania Masters Athletics Championships are held every two years. The first Championships were held in Fiji in 1992. More recently The 2004 Championships were held in Raratonga, the Cook islands, the 2006 Championships were held in Christchurch, New Zealand, and Townsville, Australia has been awarded as the host city for the 2008 Championships.
