This was the first officials’ course to be held in Townsville for a number of years. Jim Minehane from ANQ facilitated the course.
Participants were a mixture of teachers and members of ANQ including a number of young athletes who participated. The practical component of the course was run on the Sunday during competition at Ross River Athletics Club.
Major sponsor of World Athletics Seiko, donated a stop watch to the person who received the highest marks on their theory exam. Casey Raeside, a teacher from Ignatius Park College was the recipient of the stop watch. Well done Casey.
