Moranbah Athletics was founded in 2011 in the remote centre of Moranbah. 180kms west of Mackay. Over the past 8 years, the club has grown to 40
registered athletics that compete regularly at events through Mackay and other regional centres.
With age gaps ranging from 4yrs to adults, the club has excelled in terms of athletes, volunteers and coaches. Each week athletes participate in field and track events. Despite being a remote centre, we have athletes that also excel in both school and representative competitions.
Currently, the club is working on establishing a running club so that adult runners can also be part of the fun that Athletics creates.
