Can You Beat The Goose
Runners all start at the same time (no matter what event they are participating in) and are aiming to complete a 1 loop of 5.5km before the cutoff time (57mins). All runners need to complete the loop and be back at the start line before the song (The Clapping Song) starts to play
3 Marathons 3 Days
Race Founder, Larry Lawson, claims that this ultra-marathon came about ‘by accident’, as there was a ‘Run A Marathon in Three Days’ event on the race calendar in Cairns in 2012, but Larry said ‘I’ll do Three Marathons in Three Days’, and soon he had enlisted other runners to join him. It is a popular event for those clocking up their marathons, and ultra-runners who want to try a multi-day event.
2022 Airlie Beach Marathon Festival
The 9th Tassal Group Airlie Beach Marathon Festival will be held on the weekend of 16th and 17th of July 2022.
All races will be held along the Airlie Beach and Cannonvale foreshores and cater for ages 4 and up.
