Athletics North Queensland would like to welcome Matthew Lundie to the ANQ office team. Matt has taken on an intern role in the office for his gap year after school.
Matthew has been competing in track and field for the past 9 years in a range of events. In his many years competing, he has represented North Queensland, Queensland and Australia for Athletics and Swimming. The highest level that he has competed in was the 2017 World Dwarf Games in Canada and is now working towards competing in the Paralympics for Javelin and Butterfly. While not training Matt is working towards becoming a teacher aid and maybe even becoming a PE teacher in the future. In the meantime, he has become an intern so he can learn about what happens in the background of competitions and what is required to become an official, eyeing off the 2032 Olympics in Brisbane
